Recruiter's Guide: Job Fairs for Educators, 2002.
American Association for Employment in Education, Columbus, OH.
This directory contains a chronological listing of job and career fairs for educators, a cross-reference of institutions which sponsor programs or which participate in programs sponsored by consortia, and a listing of programs which have reported information on the number of minority candidates expected to attend the program. Information for the directory were gathered through a questionnaire distributed to members of the American Association for Employment in Education (AAEE) and to hosts of other programs known to AAEE regional members. Only fairs which include teacher candidates are included in the listing. The information contained in the directory is current as of October 2000. The directory also provides information on how to recruit at a career fair, focusing on what a career fair/job fair is, how to prepare for the fair, and what to do on the day of and after the fair. A sidebar presents the top 10 ways to lose a teacher at a job fair. (SM)
