Examines the influence of 2 teaching routines (Concept Anchoring and Concept Comparison) taught to 12 teaching interns in a university general-methods course on urban high school students' learning evaluated by intern-constructed content quizzes. Half of the interns used the routines; the other half used lectures. Finds no differences in student learning among the three instructional approaches. (Contains 33 references.) (PKP)
