The rate training manual is one of a series of training manuals prepared for enlisted personnel of the Navy and Naval Reserve studying for advancement from the Aviation Machinist's Mate ADJ2 rating to ADJ1 to ADJC. Aviation Machinist's Mates J maintain aircraft jet engines and their related systems. Chpater 1 discusses the enlisted rating structure, the ADJ rating, and information which would be helpful in preparing for advancement. Chapters 2-10 cover the following topics: aviation supply, work center supervision and administration, Jetcal analyzer, fuel system maintenance, turbojet powerplant troubleshooting, turbojet powerplant removal and installation, turbojet powerplant hot section repair, turboshaft-powered helicopter maintenance, and turbojet powerplants/propellers.
