Precis are presented of the meetings, workshops, and seminars at the 1984 Conference on Elementary and Middle School Physical Education. Papers were presented on the following subjects: suggestions for adapting physical education for handicapped children; ideas for discipline and classroom management; curriculum design in movement education for children in dance, gymnastics, and games; creation of a perceptual motor laboratory; improvement of cardiorespiratory health; wellness education; and current research in physical education. Included in the discussions were considerations of the implications for physical educators of the various types of medication used to control certain mental or emotional disorders.
