Bronx Community College (CUNY) launched "Global Warming Campus Awareness and Action Days" in celebration of Earth Day, 2007. The purpose of this program was to raise awareness of environmental issues in the college population, especially students. To let more students have a grasp of what Environmental Education (EE) is all about, the author launched a poster contest on Climate Change and Global Warming. Posters should answer the following questions: (1) What are the causes of global warming?; (2) How have humans contributed to global warming?; (3) What action should be taken in response to global warming? Who should do what and why?; and (4) What can Bronx Community College do about global warming? What can students do individually? This article presents the findings of a study that attempted to analyze the answers of biology students on Question #4. Findings reveal that students found a direct connection between themselves and the issue of climate change and how it can impact their future lives. (Contains 1 figure.)
