Response to "Steps toward a Science of Free Will": Determinism, Nondeterminism, and the Distinction between Uncaused and Unpredictable Behavior.
Tinsley, Diane J.
Counseling and Values, v38 n1 p67-71 Oct 1993
Draws on principles from chaos theory to respond to Howard's (1993) reconceptualization of free will and determinism by elaborating on his reconceptualization and distinguishing between uncaused and unpredictable actions. Sees findings from research on career alternatives pursued by women related to distinctions proposed in these models. Encourages further debate, elaboration, and empirical scrutiny of these ideas.
