This library handbook was designed for the student of biology. It lists some of the more useful materials and reference works basic to general research and gives their locations in the Fogler Library at the University of Maine. Materials are listed in six categories: (1) guides to the literature; (2) dictionaries and encyclopedias; (3) handbooks; (4) directories and biographies; (5) bibliographies; and (6) abstracts and indexes.
