For anyone who has wondered about how creativity looks in practice, this article offers a picture of how creativity can be a powerful force in the classroom. The author provides three examples illustrating some alternatives that he has developed that work with pupils and teachers in many countries all over the world. The magic bucket activity offers a very good perspective of the pupils' pre-knowledge in science and a really good way to discover the undiscovered talent in the class. The bottle activity is a very good example of how science teaching and learning can be placed in an everyday context. The build a flower activity allows for discussion about different ideas of how the flowers can be sorted. This usually leads to discussions about how scientists "sort" flowers. This activity also presents an opportunity to talk about the parts of the flower.
