Does Fatherhood Matter for Men?
Eggebeen, David J.; Knoester, Chris
Journal of Marriage and Family, v63 n2 p381-93 May 2001
This paper explores the effects on men from a range of fatherhood experiences using data from the National Survey of Families and Households. Evidence was found that fathers differ from nonfathers in social connections, family relationships, and work behavior. The effect of father involvement was found to be most significant for men who were living with their own children. (JDM)
