Stress Management for Educators. Resource Guide.
Randall, William T.
Educators at all levels find stress a reality in their professional lives. But an educational system free of stress would make for a profession without achievement. While it is important to make sure that stress does not become so intense that it endangers or impairs mental or physical health, it can be a positive force when properly understood and controlled. This volume describes the kinds of stress, good and bad, that affect our lives. It presents techniques for assessing one's life for stress and methods of controlling it, including attention to diet, exercise, techniques for relaxing, and methods of positive behavior change. The materials presented will provide a framework rather than a formula or panacea because individuals' reactions and limits differ. (Author/IRT)
