A guidebook, accompanied by a companion book, directed toward English-speaking students learning Spanish and Spanish teachers, presents a step-by-step approach to learning/teaching the formation and uses of all subjunctive tenses in Spanish. The author assumes that students are already familiar with some grammatical concepts and terminology such as the conjugation of verbs in the indicative mood and the use of pronouns. The main text is divided into 15 chapters dealing with grammatical concepts, conjugations, and explanations. Each chapter is followed by a series of exercises. The companion book contains three sections: the answer key to the exercises; a series of tests covering the 15 chapters sequentially; and answer keys to the exams. (LB)
