Land Application of Wastes: An Educational Program. Climate and Wastewater Storage - Module 8, Objectives, and Script.
Clarkson, W. W.; And Others
This module discusses the hydrologic considerations that apply to land application of wastes. These are precipitation, infiltration and percolation, evapotranspiration, runoff, and groundwater. Climatic considerations that relate to wastewater storage are also discussed. Particular emphasis is given to wastewater flow, precipitation, evaporation, and seepage. The determination of the wastewater storage period by analyzing climatic factors such as location of the site, temperature, precipitation, snow cover and soil moisture is discussed. Computer programs that can be used to do this are given. (BB)
