This article discusses three broad themes--reflection, power, and negotiation--that are evidenced in all of the articles in this issue. In this article, the author tries to transgress the articles at some middling altitude to seek some broader thematics. His observations about reflection, power, and negotiation do transcend individual efforts, with reflection being the more prominent for his purposes and interests in this article. Without reflection, practitioners diminish the likelihood of improving professional adult education practice. Without reflection there is little wherewithal to assess the ethical choices practitioners make in actual practice. Even so, there is still indeed much work to be imagined and enplotted in coming to better understand the roles of reflection, negotiation, and power. These three major dimensions of practitioners' practice help them understand the ethical challenges that they face more routinely than they may be willing to acknowledge.
