The fourth in a series of health education modules for physically handicapped students (grades K-12) centers on environmental and community health. Considered in an introductory section are definitions and descriptions of nine types of physical disabilities, and reviewed are learning activities in environmental and community health at The Human Resources School in Albertson, New York. Background information for specific physical conditions and listings of concepts, student activities, and student self evaluations are provided for three elementary modules (environmental and public health, world health, and consumer health), and four secondary topics (environmental and public health, world health, ecology and epidemiology of health, and consumer health). A listing of New York State curriculum topics in health education is appended. (CL)
