Molfese, Victoria J.; Modglin, Arlene; Molfese, Dennis L.
Journal of Learning Disabilities, v36 n1 p59-67 Jan-Feb 2003
A longitudinal study of 113 children (ages 3-10), including 35 with poor reading skills, found both socioeconomic status, Home Observation for Measurement of the Environment scores, and reading achievement scores were related to reading abilities, but preschool environment measures were more strongly and consistently related to and predictive of reading scores.
