Prepared in response to a request from members of the United Methodist Church, this guide can be used with high school students generally, if the theological orientation is recognized. The guide provides opportunities, in four lesson outlines, to share experiences concerning alcohol use, to present information regarding the effect of alcohol on mind and body, and to explore guidance offered by Christian theology and Methodist tradition in use and abuse of alcohol. Appendices include a precourse and postcourse questionnaire with instructions for use, and a section in judging and selecting teaching media and resources.
