This booklet is designed to give teachers resource information about the humane treatment of and care for animals. The topics are presented as springboards for discussion and class activity. Topics include the care of dogs, cats, birds, horses, and fish; wildlife and ecological relationships; and careers with animals. Illustrations on some pages are designed for use as a transparency or duplicating master. The appendices list resources and teaching aids as well as the addresses of National Humane Societies and organizations. (MA)
