Improving Driver Performance. A Curriculum for Licensed Drivers.
Highway Users Federation for Safety and Mobility, Washington, DC.
Curriculum material presented in this manual is for use in the development of an instructional program for drivers who either want or need to improve their driving performance. Three principal units are included: man and highway transportation, driver performance, and factors influencing driver behavior. Each unit is further divided into episodes which contain a specific objective for the episode, behavioral objectives, and three types of learning activities: (1) driver oriented, (2) teacher oriented, and (3) driver-teacher group discussions. Recommendations for evaluation of the program are included, as well as a list of thirty-eight resource materials and six films. (BL)
