Speaking Personally--with Amin Qazi
Ragan, Lawrence
American Journal of Distance Education, v30 n2 p121-124 2016
This article provides an interview with Amin Quazi, the founding chief executive officer of Unizin, a university-owned consortium focused on the emerging digital teaching and learning ecosystem. Amin has a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from The University of Iowa and a master's degree in business administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. The interviewer, Lawrence Ragan serves as a co-director for the Center for Online Innovation in Learning (COIL) at The Pennsylvania State University. In this role Ragan directs the Center's mission of research, scholarship, technology innovation, and leadership development. Here Ragan asks Quazi to explain the mission of Unizin, and where it fits into the landscape of higher education, he asks about Quazi's views on the potential impact of digital future learning on higher education, and the challenges he sees for institutions in accommodating, adjusting, and embracing digital learning in all aspects of institutional mission.
