Maximize Basketball Success with a Scouting Report
Seifried, Chad
Strategies: A Journal for Physical and Sport Educators, v18 n1 p26-29 Sep-Oct 2004
Preparing one's team for success on the basketball court involves a combination of strategies. One of the most effective but often overlooked strategies is a scouting report. A complete and thorough scouting report will have information about an opponent that helps prepare oneself and the team players for competition. Several areas need to be addressed to make a scouting report workable: statistics on the opposing team and its individual players; players' skills and capabilities; analysis of defensive strategies; and, analysis of offensive strategies. Each of these strategies is discussed in this article. (Contains 2 tables.)
