Cheating in Cyberspace: Maintaining Quality in Online Education
Nixon, Mary Anne
AACE Journal, v12 n1 p85-99 Jan 2004
Professors in higher education are experimenting with a wide array of techniques in order to preserve integrity of the academic evaluation process in the online environment. Current instructors perceive some increased risk of "cheating" in cyberspace classrooms, and some changes in the forms these incidents take. We anticipate the continuing evolution of new techniques and new technologies to assist us in the ongoing process of delivering, evaluating, and maintaining high-quality online educational programs.
