This handbook on cooperative education is intended as a how-to manual designed specifically for the administrators who assume responsibility for implementing the cooperative method. Contents include program descriptions and information on the basic elements of cooperative education. The minimum elements of a written plan for the implementation and maintenance of cooperative education are listed, and information to be contained in a cooperative education student handbook is outlined. Insurance coverage for paid cooperative employment and non-paid cooperative placement is also briefly discussed. These sample forms for implementing the cooperative method are included: list of participants, training plan, training agreement for cooperative vocational education, training agreement information, schedule of business and industry visits, student evaluation, and student wage and hour record.
