Each issue of this monthly newsletter focuses on some aspect of environmental affairs. This issue concerns preparations for the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment including: the state of the global environment, different views from developed and underdeveloped nations, the conference agenda, and U.S. preparations for the conference. Characteristically the newsletter includes quotations up to one half page in length which are particularly pertinent to the focus of the particular issue. Others have dealt with public lands and with federal appropriations for environmental programs. Future issues of this newsletter are available only by subscription. (NH)
