This is an annotated bibliography of reference sources dealing with North American Indians and includes selected unpublished resources in the Chester Fritz Library, University of North Dakota. Among the resources presented are encyclopedias, biographical dictionaries, handbooks, general indexes, government publications, theses, and dissertations. General library catalog descriptions are included for the Chester Fritz Library, the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology, the Library of Congress, and the Newberry Library. Three special sections are devoted to the Plains Indians, folklore, and language and literature. The 53 items listed include three of the unpublished sources. (RAA)
