Extraversion, Neuroticism, and Verbal Conditioning of Affective Self-Disclosures
Hekmat, Hamid
Journal of Counseling Psychology, 18, 1, 64-69, Jan 71
Subjects were assigned to four experimental groups: neurotic extraverts, stable extraverts, neurotic introverts, stable introverts, and a control group. Results indicated that introversion, and not neuroticism, facilitated conditioning processes. Neuroticism, however, did not interact on the conditioning of affective self disclosures. Introverted subjects were more resistant to extinction than extraverted ones. (Author)
