Gibbs, J. Elizabeth; Major, Claire H.; Wright, Vivian H.
Journal of Faculty Development, v19 n2 p77-88 2004
In this research study conducted at one research university in the southeast, faculty members identified as early adopters of instructional technology were surveyed in order to examine their perceptions about the costs and benefits of using technology in teaching and learning. Standard quantitative and qualitative methods were used to collect and analyze the data. The authors present the results of the study and make recommendations for faculty development aimed at ameliorating the perceptions about costs while emphasizing the benefits.
