Chronic Low Back Pain: Toward an Integrated Psychosocial Assessment Model.
Strong, Jenny; And Others
Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, v62 n5 p1058-63 Oct 1994
Integrated six dimensions of chronic low back pain (pain intensity, functional disability, attitudes toward pain, pain coping strategies, depression, illness behavior) to provide multidimensional patient profile. Data from 100 patients revealed presence of three distinct patient groups: patients who were in control, patients who were depressed and disabled, and patients who were active copers with high denial.
