Examined effects of client reinforcement on counselor behavior and on attitudinal judgments about the client. Counselor-trainees interviewed a standard client. Counselors in verbal and verbal plus nonverbal conditions showed increases in reflection of feeling statements. Differences in counselor attraction and clinical impression of the client were minimal.
