The Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) is a nonprofit service which provides libraries and organizations needing permission to make copies legally with a simple, centralized mechanism through which to report and to pay for copying after it has been done, with no delay for users. This handbook for libraries and organizations which copy from serials and separates outlines CCC operations. Sections cover procedures, user reporting of fee-required copying, payments, and confidentiality.
