The major goal of the Comprehensive Instructional Management System for mathematics is to provide the classroom teacher in New York City with a well-structured, objective-based curriculum. This second part of the manual for Level 3 includes modules for 14 topics: (1) numbers and numeration; (2) addition of whole numbers; (3) subtraction of whole numbers; (4) multiplication of whole numbers; (5) division of whole numbers; (6) fractions; (7) decimals; (8) integers; (9) geometry; (10) measurement; (11) algebraic concepts; (12) graphs, probability and statistics; (13) problem solving; and (14) review. The recommended instructional sequence is listed, followed by the content listed by topic. Reinforcement of previously learned skills is incorporated. Each objective is considered, with vocabulary, activities for getting started, and teaching strategies to use. The pupil's worksheets are interspersed.
