This document presents the standards adopted by the Oklahoma State Board of Education for qualification and certification of persons for instructional, supervisory, and administrative positions and services in Oklahoma public schools. Included are rules and regulations governing the issuance and revocation of certificates for county superintendents of schools, district superintendents of schools, principals, supervisors, librarians, school nurses, visiting teachers, classroom teachers, and other personnel performing instructional, administrative, and supervisory services. Specific standards are listed for: (1) early childhood certificate; (2) elementary school certificate; (3) elementary-secondary school certificate; (4) secondary school certificate; (5) school service personnel certificate; (6) specialized services certificate; and (7) vocational-technical certificate. Also included are regulations governing the issuing of endorsements placed on valid licenses/certificates to indicate that the holder is eligible to teach specific subjects in accredited schools. (JD)
