Lin, Yii-nii
Journal of College Student Psychotherapy, v28 n1 p6-11 2014
This article introduces Yii-nii Lin, Professor in the Center for Teacher Education at the National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan, and prior director of the university's counseling center for a 3 year term. She has worked as a university counselling psychologist for more than 15 years when she participated in an online interview that questioned the role of counselling at the University. Some of the topics covered in the interview included: How do students on your campus generally feel about going for counseling?; What are the major problems students present at your counseling center?; Do students have any special or distinctive issues based on culture?; What professional degrees and training do your counselors tend to have?; and How supportive is your campus administration of campus counselling services? Responses to these and additional questions are included in this interview.
