Cardiorespiratory Fitness and Smoking-Related and Total Cancer Mortality in Men.
Lee, Chong Do.; Blair, Steven N.
Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, v34 n5 p735-39 May 2002
Investigated the association between cardiorespiratory fitness and smoking-related, nonsmoking-related, and total cancer mortality, following 25,892 men age 30-87 years who had a preventive medical evaluation that included a maximal exercise test and self-reported health habits. Results indicated that cardiorespiratory fitness may have provided protection against cancer mortality in men. (SM)
