Budgetary control procedures for not-for-profit institutions are presented in this compilation of budgetary materials and ideas gathered at the Program for Institutional Administrators at the University of Notre Dame. Budgetary reporting and control are suggested as the most effective tools for coordinating and controlling the acquisition and use of a moderately sized or large institution's resources. Chapters cover various aspects of budgetary control, each offering an introduction, subject break-down, summary, questions, and various appendices related to the area discussed. Chapters include: budgetary control for institutions; budgeting institutional revenues; budgeting institutional operating expenses; budgeting institutional land, buildings, and equipment acquisition; budgeting institutional cash balances; and reporting against institutional budget.
