Talking Sport and Fitness
Dixon-Watmough, Rebecca; Keogh, Brenda; Naylor, Stuart
Primary Science, n123 p22-23 May 2012
For some time the Association for Science Education (ASE) has been aware that it would be useful to have some resources available to get children talking and thinking about issues related to health, sport and fitness. Some of the questions about pulse, breathing rate and so on are pretty obvious to everyone, and there is a risk of these being repeated on a number of occasions during a child's school career. But there are more interesting questions than the obvious ones. In this article, the authors introduce the latest joint venture from the ASE and Millgate House Education: Concept Cartoons linked to the Olympics. (Contains 3 figures and 2 online resources.)
