Intended for use with the photographic materials available from the Workshop for Learning Things, Inc., this "camera cookbook" describes procedures that have been tried in classrooms and workshops and proven to be the most functional and inexpensive. Explicit starting off instructions--directions for exploring and loading the camera and for taking the first pictures--are provided first. Next, procedures and materials needed for developing the film are presented in detail, with recipes for developing solution and fixer. Techniques for processing film in the classroom are outlined, and several different printing approaches--none of which require a darkroom--are described. Useful hints about developing and printing conclude the book. (SH)
