Art Related Experiences for Social Science, Natural Science, and Language Arts.
Mack, Edward B.
This booklet is intended to serve as an introduction to art experiences that relate to studies in social science, natural science, and language arts. It is designed to develop a better understanding of the dynamics of interaction of the abiotic, biotic, and cultural factors of the total environment as manifest in art forms. Each section, presented in abbreviated form to give the student a concise overview of particular art experiences, describes the form, its general use, specific application in the three subject areas, materials required, techniques of composition, and resources and references. Batik, college composition, masks, mobiles, mosaics, paper mache, printmaking, rubbings, stained glass crafts, and wall hangings are the forms suggested. (BL)
