The Alberta (Canada) Department of Education issues "Grade 12 Diploma Examinations" for various disciplines every six months (dated January and June of each year). Except for the English and Francais examinations (which are issued only in their own language), the examinations are issued in an English edition and a French edition. The eight disciplines represented in this compilation are as follows: Biology/Biologie 30; Chemistry/Chimie 30; English 30; English 33; Francais 30; Mathematics/Mathematiques 30; Physics/Physique 30; Social Studies/Etudes Sociales 30. The English tests have a "Part A": Written Response," in one booklet, and a "Part B: Reading (Multiple Choice)," in two booklets: "Readings Booklet" and "Questions Booklet." Before the cyclical pattern of publication was recognized, numerous previous generations of these tests were entered into the ERIC database (generally by the Reading-CS and Science-SE Clearinghouses). This compilation will be the last group entered (at least until future changes in the tests justify a new entry). Users interested in the latest editions of this series of tests are referred to the Alberta Department of Education. (AA)
