This curriculum guide provides an introduction to Management Information Systems (MIS) concepts and techniques for students preparing to develop MISs in professional settings, and to assist in MIS evaluation. According to the guide, students are exposed to concepts drawn from systems theory, information theory, management theory, data base development, and computer use and control in the public sector. Course goals and content are listed, as is an overview of instructional strategies. It is noted that students are required to apply concepts discussed in class to a problem in a work setting.
