This paper describes international education at the University of Jordan (UJ). Specifically it investigates a random sample of international students comprising Americans, Europeans and Asians. A field survey approach with qualitative and quantitative dimensions was used. Questionnaires were used to solicit information from the students. In addition, personal interviews were conducted with a number of students and teachers. The findings show that the students benefited in all major categories: cultural awareness, knowledge of world affairs, career enhancement and personal growth. This study is particularly important because in Jordan international education is taking place in an environment where the language, culture, traditions and beliefs are not shared by most international students, especially Americans and Europeans. Moreover, although Jordanians are hospitable and friendly towards foreigners there is a sense of dissatisfaction and disappointment towards certain policies and actions of Western Governments.
