Analyzes those articles of China's marriage law that deal with marriage contracts. Articles relevant to arranged marriage, marriage by purchase and dowry customs, concubinage or polygamy, marriage restrictions, rituals, and residence customs are analyzed in terms of their contexts in traditional and modern China.
