Learn about Earth Science: Weather. [CD-ROM].
This CD-ROM, designed for students in grades K-2, explores the world of weather. Students investigate weather to learn about climate and the seasons, how animals adapt to weather changes, how clouds tell us about conditions, and how weather plays a part in our everyday lives. The weather calendar lets students record and write about conditions outside their school. Nine content presentations are featured in the lessons section. A read-aloud section is also included. Students can take part in quizzes and note taking while using the program. There is a jukebox on which students can listen to songs based on weather. Program completion certificates are included. Weather activities include such topics as season detectives, if raindrops could talk, weather today, weather mural, rain makers, blowing in the wind, weather poetry, and what should I wear today. The teacher's guide includes instructions on using the CD-ROM and classroom activities. (SAH)
