The Alcoholism Counseling Training Institute of Nebraska, Inc. (ACTION) was established to provide statewide training for alcoholism counselors to prepare them to meet state certification standards. ACTION is a joint effort by alcoholism service providers and the University of Nebraska psychology department. Issues faced by the program are described. (Author/JAC)
