Used social network theory to analyze perceptions of the role played by social network members in the adjustment of African college students to British society. The composition of students' networks was largely other African students, and contact among them was dense. Students considered this contact supportive but sometimes stressful. Students' networks played both supportive and nonsupportive roles. (SM)
