This study describes the implications of the Individual Psychology of Alfred Adler and field theory associated with Kurt Lewin in understanding orthopedically disabled children and points out that orthopedically disabled youngsters have a remarkable range of individual differences both in type of disability as well as level of adjustment. Educational and social factors, including the need for ample space and adjustable and/or movable desks, are discussed from the perspective of a school psychologists.
