The following course outline has been prepared as a guide to help the student develop the skills and understanding to succeed in the field of data processing. Operating principles will be studied further and applied with testing and debugging programs. Payroll processing is used to present the students with programing problems and responsibilities of both programers and operators. A prerequisite for the course is Programing and Operations Lab 1. The 90 clock hours course consists of six blocks of instruction (orientation, computer system operations, billing and accounts receivable, documentation, testing and debugging techniques, and employment opportunities) which are further broken down into several units each.
