This booklet is part of a set of self-guidance publications prepared by Catalyst, a national nonprofit organization. It is written specifically for undergraduate women to help them bring their aspirations into focus, develop realistic career goals and plan for career options in fields which, at the managerial and professional levels, have been traditionally male-dominated. The booklet covers the spectrum of positions within the field of accounting, educational preparation, and the employment outlook during the next decade as well as interviews with individuals who have achieved success in the field. The booklet also addresses other issues facing young women today, such as the right to make independent choices and to gain autonomy, and the importance of informed and imaginative planning.
