Interviewed Latino immigrant parents within a predominantly Latino California community regarding involvement in their children's schools. Parents desired to be a part of their children's education but felt the schools did not listen to their needs. Forces within the schools prevented them from becoming involved. There was no language support for Spanish speakers. Parents felt abandoned and helpless while trying to gain information regarding their children's education. (SM)
