Semantic Web-Driven LMS Architecture towards a Holistic Learning Process Model Focused on Personalization

A comprehensive presentation is here made on the modular architecture of an e-learning platform with a distinctive emphasis on content personalization, combining advantages from semantic web technology, collaborative filtering and recommendation systems. Modules of this architecture handle information about both the domain-specific didactic material and the learner. The model automatically generates learning paths the didactic resources of which are customized to meet the current learner's profile, thus anticipating her/his satisfaction through a successful learning experience/process.
