This directory of academic, public, special, and school libraries and media centers is organized according to Connecticut's six cooperating library units. The listings include a 3-digit library number, library name and address, telephone number, and district served. Public libraries display summer and winter operating hours. Entries also indicate library equipment available for public use, electronic information systems, telefacsimile equipment, telex numbers, copying and reader printer equipment, interlibrary loan, access, meeting room information, special collections, and other information. Librarians, staff, and trustee identification are provided as applicable and available. There is also a directory of state library organizations and associations. The primary index is alphabetical; however, access is also provided by a classified list of special collections, and directories of electronic information retrieval systems and databases, equipment for use by the public, personnel and membership, where to buy, and advertisers.
